Expats call for war on extremists

Al Ain: Pakistanis living in the UAE have asked for declaring a full fledged war against militants who have been mercilessly killing innocent people in different parts of Pakistan.

The devastating blast at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad has shocked the community that expressed its feeling of desperation and anger on the huge destruction and loss of innocent human lives in the incident.

"The government must end its reservations, if any, and take a stern action against militants," said Badar Iftekhar, a prominent Pakistani businessman in Al Ain. He said this has become a war of Pakistan and the international community should cooperate with Islamabad instead of pressurising its new administration.

According to Akram Farooqi, a prominent Pakistani community leader in the UAE, "the international community must come forward to help Pakistan instead of criticising our efforts against terrorists."....
