For those Facebook users out there, here's something you will want to know. Facebook quiz technology lets developers (who are not screened by Facebook) see not only your data, but your friends'.

This article links to the American Civil Liberties Union's Facebook quiz, which demonstrates what developers can see when you agree to let an application get access your data. As noted: This is mostly due to the fact that Facebook's default privacy settings allow access to all your profile information whether or not your profile is set to "private."

Government warns even real birth certificates not proof Report: 'A number of state practices create opportunities for fraud'

A report from the Office of the Inspector General from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services concluded years before the dispute erupted over President Obama's birth certificate and his eligibility to be president such documents "may ... not be the best proof of identity."

The report compiled in 2000 by Inspector General June Gibbs Brown deals primarily with using birth certificates to establish identity, not necessarily birth location as is the issue with Obama's document.

But the report raises a number of alarms about the use of the documents.

"It was the consensus of those we interviewed that a number of state practices create opportunities for fraud. Those practices include the following: delayed, amended, and midwife birth registrations that are based on affidavits of personal knowledge, include no documentary evidence, and are not often marked or overlaid accordingly; delays in matching death and birth records can make the identities of many deceased persons easy to assume between the time the person dies and the time the death and birth records are matched; questionable physical security situations that create opportunities for fraud; and limited oversight of local issuing entities by state vital records offices," the report said. ....

Why didn't the vast majority of peaceful Muslims, the adherents of the authentic and peaceful Islam, rise up and drive out these terror recruiters from the mosque?

The mosque frequented by key members of the airline plot terror cell has been a recruiting ground for Islamist extremists for more than 20 years, The Times can reveal.

The Queen’s Road mosque in Walthamstow, East London, was a regular place of worship and meeting place for central figures from the group.

Abdullah Ahmed Ali, the cell leader, prayed there and met with his associates including Waheed Zaman, who lived opposite.

The mosque is currently under the control of Tablighi Jamaat, an ultraorthodox Islamic sect which preaches that Muslims should replicate the life of Muhammad and tells them it is their duty to travel the world converting non-believers to the one true faith.

Intelligence services around the world believe Tablighi Jamaat’s fundamentalism makes some of its followers easy prey for terrorist recruiters. Mohammed Sidique Khan, the leader of the London 7/7 bombers, was an adherent.

Almost without exception, the Walthamstow bombers were Tablighi followers. They sometimes went to huge Friday night gatherings in West Ham on the site beside the 2012 Olympic Park where the sect wants to build Europe's biggest mosque with space for 12,000 people to pray....

I was at that site recently. The Muslims there were very suspicious and closemouthed -- much more so than in other mosques in London.

Conversation With a Farmer

Recently, an article in a large newspaper caught my eye with a quote from a farmer in words that were so perfect for the “comprehensive reform” amnesty crowd that it seemed like a lobbyist had coached him on what to say. So, over a 2-week period I tried to contact him, and finally caught up with him a couple of days ago.

Our conversation illuminates how decent family farmers have gotten mixed up with the amnesty lobby.

He really is a farmer, a 73 year-old, extremely vigorous and hard-working man. ....

Gun History

After reading the following historical facts, read the part about Switzerland twice.

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

List of 7 items:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are 'citizens.'

Without them, we are 'subjects'.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. IT'S A NO BRAINER! DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

Just think how powerful our government is getting! They think these other countries just didn't do it right.

The insight reached here is certainly clear enough. It seems clear enough to me that our politicians had better consider job counseling -- they are going to need it.)

Be afraid America, be very afraid of me, I am a "Right Wing Terrorist!"

I am a retired, 68 year old, white male; those are three strikes already against me in the "changed" America! I am also a Patriot, (that's four strikes); who believes in the Constitution, (that's five); who cherishes the Bill of Rights, (that's six); who loves "Old Glory", (that's seven); who honors the Founding Fathers, (that's eight); who prefers smaller, less-intrusive government, (that's nine); who believes that what I earn belongs to me, (that's ten); who believes that crooks, thugs, and socialists, belong in jail, not in the Congress or the White House, (that's eleven); who understands that the government was created to serve "We the People", not vice versa, (that's twelve); who prefers to keep his private health care, (that's thirteen); who thinks the Nation is great, just the way it was originally constituted, (that's fourteen); I've never been arrested, (that's fifteen); I was a Police Officer, (that's sixteen); and, I believe in the right to speak out against injustice, (that's seventeen); I could go on, but what is the point?

You can see, from those "character flaws" that I've just listed, that I am indeed a "Right Wing Terrorist!" "America", or more correctly, the "changed America" apparently fears me! I intend to defend this Nation, this Constitution, this Bill of Rights, this "Old Glory", our National Anthem, National Sovereignty, and our Personal Liberty; against all enemies "foreign and domestic!"

If this "terrorizes" anyone, I cannot help but to wonder who they are, and why that might be! After all, all of our elected political leaders take an oath to essentially do the very same thing!

As The Lede noted on Friday, Jude Kenan Mohammad was arrested and then released on bail by Pakistani authorities last year, after he attempted to enter a tribal area along the Afghan border but before any charges were filed in North Carolina, where he now stands accused of being part of a ring of would-be jihadists. ....
